My friend, the devil does walk about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour according to 1Peter 5:8. But this verse is conditional, for he may not devour me! We must be alert and on-guard and not find ourselves ignorant of his devices in these last days.
Following, I will share with you a dream that the Lord specifically gave to me in the spring of 1993. I believe that it is a warning to the church in this hour - to be alert.
March 30, 1993-I had a dream from the Lord with lions in it. I was a child in the dream and I had a mother there (not my own mom) who was teaching me how I could be safe.
The lion was a male that came into the village where I lived. There were people there that believed they had power and authority over the lion, so they did not protect themselves from him. The lion would play with them and act gentle with the people.
Suddenly, however, the lion would turn on the people that played with him and devour them without a warning. The people still thought they controlled the lion.
Then the village became overwhelmed with female lions because the people had allowed the male lion to stay. They were everywhere.
Meanwhile, my mother in the dream had instructed me to go into this upper room to be safe. Other people were down in the valley trying to get these people to come to their senses and not allow the lions into their lives, to come away and be safe from them.
One older lady, in particular who believed she had authority over the lion, was playing with him, sticking her arm in and out of his mouth. Men were trying to keep her away from the lion, telling her to come away and that the lion would turn on her any minute and devour her. It was as though she had lost her mind. She had no fear of the danger that was lurking near her waiting to pounce on her.
I was safe in this upper room where I was instructed to go and I was hoping and praying that these people would come to their senses and that is when I awoke.
INTERPRETATION~The lion definitely represents the devil who walks about seeking whom he may devour. He plays with people and makes them think that he is harmless and that it isn't dangerous to play with him. He tried to get the people to accept him and to allow him to stay.
These people foolishly believed they were controlling the lion (that they could just play with sin, the devil, and not be hurt by it). But the wages of sin is death. Suddenly the lion turns on them and devours them.
The men, who were trying to get the people to come to their senses were like the evangelists, the pastors, the teachers, the prophet, who cried out a warning.
The people had no fear of sin (the devil, the lion) and had accepted it into their lives. Therefore, the lion called many more demons (the lioness') and they were everywhere taking over the village.
I believe the Holy Ghost (my mom) had instructed me (the child), how to be safe and where my place is (in the upper room - the prayer closet) to intercede and pray for the people that I live around about, who have no fear of sin and no fear of judgment for sin (in the church) that they would come to their senses and to realize that you can't play with sin - that you can't allow the devil into you life AT ALL, and you can't play around with sin and not be hurt and devoured by it.
The Lord has spoken different meanings into the lives of many Christians that I have shared this dream with. I pray that the Lord would speak specifically to you by His Spirit. Christian, now is the time to examine your heart to see if there is any area in your life that you have not guarded and yielded to the Lord. Don't play with sin - the lion is likely to devour you - and that without warning!
Jeremiah 4:3-8 'For thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among the thorns. 4 Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the -skins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings. 5 Declare in Judah, and publish in Jerusalem, and say Blow the trumpet in the land; cry, gather together, and say, Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the fortified cities. 6 Set up the stand toward Zion; retire, stay not; for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction. 7 The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the nations is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate, and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant. 8 For this, gird yourselves with sackcloth, lament and wail; for the fierce anger of the LORD is not turned back from us.
